Northwestern Energy – David Gates Generating Station at Mill Creek

Share Project:

Corval was the EPC contractor for the design, construction, and start-up of this 150 MW natural gas-fired power plant. The plant consists of three Pratt & Whitney FT8-3 Swiftpac combustion turbines with diesel fuel positioned for back-up. The facility provides “regulation” capability to the electrical grid, adjusting its power output every 10 seconds, balancing out the variable output from the wind turbines in the area. Corval placed approximately 4,000 cubic yards of structural concrete during this project.
