Corval was the general contractor for the addition and renovation to Johnson Senior High School. The project added new offices and meeting spaces for staff and faculty, new restrooms in all common areas of the school, and new classroom space on the second floor. The renovation included re-roofing the school and renovating the cafeteria and mechanical systems including plumbing, HVAC, pipework, a new RTU, and converting their heating system from steam to hot water. Corval self-performed demolition, structural concrete, structural steel, plumbing, sheet metal, and pipefitting.
The renovation and addition were accomplished outside of school hours, with most work occurring during the summer months. The completed project was met with positive responses from students, faculty, alumni, and the public.
